Oakfield Electrical
A website for a domestic electrician who wants fewer vague phone calls and more enquiries with the details already filled in.
Oakfield Electrical is a fictional business. This is a concept project designed by PR Creative to show an approach, not commissioned client work.

The idea
Oakfield Electrical is an imagined one-van electrician working on homes and rental properties. Much of their time goes on calls that start with “how much is…” and end without enough information to answer. The website needed to look trustworthy, explain the work simply and collect the details needed to give a realistic price.
Who it’s for
- Homeowners planning a rewire, a new consumer unit or an EV charger.
- Landlords who need electrical safety checks and clear paperwork.
- People with a fault who want to know quickly if this electrician covers their area.
Design choices
- Big Shoulders, a tall condensed typeface, gives large, confident headlines that still fit on a small screen.
- Near-black with a single safety yellow keeps the site high contrast and easy to read outdoors, and ties to the trade without using clichés.
- Services are a simple grid with line icons drawn for this project, each with one sentence of plain explanation.
- A short “how it works” band answers the questions people have before they get in touch: will you quote, and what happens next?

Headings in Big Shoulders, body text in Instrument Sans.Enquiry features
- Job types are large tap targets, so most enquiries start with one tap rather than typing.
- The postcode field checks the format and explains what a valid postcode looks like if it isn’t right.
- A coverage checker gives an instant answer, and encourages people outside the area to ask anyway rather than leave.
- Phone is required for this business because most jobs are arranged by call; email is optional and clearly marked.

For a real business
A live version would need the electrician’s real registration and insurance details, actual coverage area, real job photos and a clear policy on call-out or quoting charges.
